The William Stanley Business Park is a ready-to-build business redevelopment project situated on 52 acres in the heart of Pittsfield, Mass. – Berkshire County’s largest city. The project is a brownfield redevelopment of a former manufacturing site owned by GE, the area’s largest employer for nearly a century. The site itself boasts a multitude of inherent advantages from lakefront locations to rail access.

Featuring a centralized location adjacent to the city center and residential neighborhoods, the project is well-funded and supported. Created through a unique private/ public partnership between GE and the City of Pittsfield, this opportunistic business park is supported by a host of potential tax, training and building assistance grants from local, state and private sources.

Naturally Appealing

The William Stanley Business Park of the Berkshires, once completed, will boast a new, campus-style park with a strong sense of New England and historic details. Office, industrial and research buildings will be set on tree-lined streets with landscapes of native plantings. The campus will also have pedestrian paths, a bike path and distributed open space. Nearby Silver Lake offers distinctly Berkshire aesthetic beauty, as does the scenic Housatonic River with its numerous oxbows and waterfowl.

The Master Plan includes a building that will serve as an onsite employee training center, one of the first buildings to be erected on the site. The center will include shared office space with business support systems such as reprographics, communications and mail services.

Just a Walk in the Park

Approximately 150 miles equidistant from Boston and New York and adjacent to the N.Y. capital city of Albany, the Berkshires are host to a multitude of advantages. Known throughout New England and beyond as “America’s Premier Cultural Resort,” the area represents the best of all worlds, locations and lifestyles. Excellent workforce demographics and a favorable cost of living combine with the region’s established reputation for artistic involvement and environmental beauty to create a situation ripe for a true economic renaissance. All of the pieces are here, waiting.
